  1. Temperature & Relative Humidity Monitoring

Data logging in the vineyard provides solid documentation for insurance claims, and helps you to understand the long-term behaviors of vines and quality of grapes during specific weather events and growing seasons. Data logging is also a cost effective and easy way to conduct: Microclimate Analysis, Initial Site Evaluation, and Frost Line Detection. Track temp & rh changes within fruit zones, and to help you determine infection periods for Disease, Insect and Mites.

  1. Water Monitoring

Monitor water volume flow rate at your vineyard’s pumping and distribution station. Discrepancies in readings could mean losses of hundreds of thousands of dollars. In the past, these discrepancies have been argued at length without a satisfactory resolution. Thanks to ACR data loggers, you can save not only on water usage but also on potential legal costs. A SmartReader Plus 7 is connected to a flow meter that has a 4-20mA output. This current output is then read by the data logger and converted to GPM readings, which are stored and cataloged electronically.

  1. Soil Moisture Monitoring

Recording process signals from commercially available soil moisture probes is easy with the SmartReader Plus 7. With seven input channels it is ideal for monitoring your irrigation schedule to save on water.

  1. Harvesting Equipment
    Oil & Hydraulic Pressure

The efficiency of hydraulic lines monitored over a period of time (months) will indicate whether there are equipment performance problems or incorrect operator practices. Both of which can lead to increased energy costs, equipment downtime and costly repairs.

  1. Spray System Monitoring
    Temperature

Vineyard chemical spray usage can be monitored and recorded. The data is used estimate future costs, and verify completion of the job. Using a network of loggers, all parameters including primary and secondary spray wells can be monitored.

  1. Soil Temperature
    Temperature

Soil temperature monitoring enables accurate timing for the application of fertilizers and vineyard mulching. Predict premature bud break and insect hatches and arrivals.
